A Fishing license can be purchased at many locations and Online in the town of Gunnison. Walmart, City Market and Berfield‘s are the easiest locations to find near Blue Mesa to buy a Colorado fishing license. You can also purchase fishing licenses at either Elk Creek Marina or Lake Fork Marina located in Blue Mesa Reservoir. Blue Mesa Fishing clients, you must have a valid Colorado fishing license Please use any of the above resources to obtain a license before your pickup time, as not to delay the trip. Buying a fishing license at the marina in the moring can be very time consuming and the early morning hours can very vital for catching fish. With out any notice these fish can move deep to the cooler water in the morning to feed on plankton and insects. We have had a few delayed trips that ‘missed’ the bite, while fellow anglers nailed ‘em and finished up by the time we arrived!
