2010 CURRENT FISHING REPORT May 2010

ICE HAS BLOWN OFF THE LAKE TUE APRIL 20th

Friday, April 23rd 2010 Ice Off! Well, the ice out countdown never really started. Truth be told, Blue Mesa Fishing and associated guides were planning a Powell Trip this weekend when the ice blew off Tuesday night. So, we switched gears and are working the cold snowy waters of Blue from now until October. I'd like to thank the fans of this site and welcome all the newbies. This year has alot to offer and there will benefits to being a fan of Blue Mesa Fishing. Our public photo gallery will continue to be worked on as will the fishing forum and such benefits as voting best fish of the month, and recieving a free trip will be in the future. Stay tuned fellow fanatics as we do some catching and reporting and help you get closer to fish you want to catch. We start fishing today, so look for reports to follow! ( I'm still learning the new site) The webcam will be up in a few weeks and construction continues- Fish On!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAY 28th 2010

More of the same folks. Some big lake trout are being caught everyday, many small lakers suspended at 30 to 60fow. Kokanee are slow- try more in very low light situations- full moon has brought plankton to the surface feeding hungry fish. The good news is it only takes one session to turn it around so come on out and enjoy Blue Mesa- Happy Memorial Day!

MAY 27th 2010

A small improvement in koke fishing today, with tons of browns and small lakers suspended at 30 to 60fow. Lake trout are still being caught, big ones. We'll update soon with Turnip's story soon!

MAY 21-22nd 2010

Medium level fishing excitement- a slow day to catch a limit of kokes(red arnies) but the browns are banging. Wait for the wind to lay day and water to restratify. heard of a 31 lber dunked and trunked at Lake Fork- hey guys leave a couple in there for us we have the gill nets to compete with too! Keep looking to the old (but Great) site for another few weeks too! See ya out there

OK, I'm doing two reports at once- that will make up for the slackin!

Dear Viewers, I'm here to apologize for the overcast fishing reports. Truth be told I have been overwhelmed with the new site and non-fishing related activities. We have been fishing like hell though, and have been catching. The laker season has been hot and cold for us, but insane for others, and the dunkers are steady picking. Kokanee hit the boards last week and limits were being pulled by BMF and associated clowns at Lake Fork. But, we are working hard on this new site and it's NOT READY So Click on this link!! REPORT!!!.
SO, let's switch gears and go back to the old site until we get this figured out. So, real quick- KOKANEE being caught at Lake Fork, Browns are absolutely biting like crazy, and we're catching lakers 1 day before they are being netted by the Kokanee salvation commitee. It's happening!! so watch the reports and get over here!
